Morphe. Hot or Not?

She had put on make-up in a colour scheme that indicated she might be colourblind.

Morphe Brushes - the brand

Disclaimer: I hate to talk bad about a company but I want to share my honest opinion. I do not support this brand and this is why you shouldn't too.

It's no secret anymore that Morphe Products are manufactured in a private label company, they slap their name on the palettes and brushes and sell them under their own logo, you ending up buying from a middle man. It's a very common thing cheap brands do, from cosmetic to food companies.

You can find the same palettes with the same ingredients much cheaper on sites like Aliexpress or if you ever heard of Crown, same products much cheaper, ironically better packaging. You can look these things up yourself and form your own opinion. These things are just facts.

The Morphe 35 palettes ingredient list: Talc, Mica, Mineral Oil, Kaolin, Titanium Dioxide, Megnesium Stearate, Isopropyl, Lanolin, Methhylparaben, Propylparaben.

Palettes & Brushes

The palette packagings are cheap from China, nothing but plastic. The colors do not have a name. Some of the shadows can be patchy, dry, harder to blend and look muddy on the lid.

Because they are from China these shadows are not cruelty free and yes they have been tested on animals.

I did not know this when I purchased some of the products because of my lack of searching into the products and brainwashed buy the beauty gurus and I was not a vegan at a time, shame on me.

The beauty gurus who I used to admire preach all the time about how amazing Morphe is. Every video they post include at least one Morphe product. It's insane how these influencers can give such a huge growth into a brand, if it wasn't for them, Morphe would've just been a typical Aliexpress China brand.

The influencers I'm talking about are Jaclyn Hill, Manny Mua, Nikki Tutorials and many more (maybe half of the beauty youtubers).

Why do they preach so much about them? Because of the $$ they get paid for it, of course every discount code you you from them the more $$ they get.

Products I own

I currently own from Morphe is the 35O palette and the 9B blush palette.

From all of the palettes they own the 35O is the most decent one. (I did not try Jaclyn Hill's palette and have no interest in it, thus both of these products I bought was because of her).

First when I got the 35O I was very impressed by the beautiful colors, I love the warm fall shadows and I could make it work with many different looks.

Now that I own Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes I can tell that the difference is waaay too big to even compare. Anastasia is quality and amazing pigment, morphe feels dry and cheap when put side to side.

Goods things: I do enjoy the foiled shadows in the 35O and I use it a lot on different looks. And I do use the 9B blush palette on a regular basis (but only 2-3 colors) there is no way you can use 9 shades.

Final Thoughts

If you are on a budget and looking for cheap products, you can make these palettes work. I just love my amazing quality ABH shadows that can never do wrong to me.

As I said I would never support a brand that is not cruelty free.

The reason I am still keeping these products is because I feel it would be a waste to just throw them away, and I will continue to use some of the shadows, even though I almost never reach out for it (I am constantly playing with my ABH shadows).

But I will NOT repurchase any Morphe products anymore.

The brushes are scratchy too so I wouldn't even bother.
